Our Services Clients / Sector Who we are Contact Us

CuerdenBrowning is an established partnership which brings together the senior management and business skills of Grainne Cuerden and the facilitation and training skills of Graham Browning. We have worked together in a variety of contexts for over 20 years and developed complementary ways of working which serve us and our clients well.

Our combined approach involves analytic business skills and creative, action methods. We have the knowledge, skills and experience to work at all levels - with the general public, service users, carers, staff,  senior managers, commissioners and policy makers. We pay attention to task and process – we get things done and make sure that stakeholders are appropriately engaged and included on the way. We get results.

Most of our work is in health and social care, particularly mental health, but we also have wider business experience and can provide services to the private, public and third sectors. We are based in the North West.

We use our combined business, management, facilitation and training skills to work with organisations and individuals to reach their goals and realise their aspirations. We support clients to develop their own skills and solutions, to enhance their stability and resilience, and to find their own ways forward. We are not experts who come and tell people what to do. We spend time working with people and organisations to find out how they operate, what issues they are facing, what resources they have, and how they can survive and thrive.

Much of our work involves consulting with stakeholders, reviewing policies, procedures and systems, sharing ideas, developing new models and solutions, producing reports, and feeding back our findings to everyone involved.

Our approach is underpinned by some key values:
  • We take a positive approach, concentrating on skills and abilities rather than on deficits
  • We are inclusive – we involve all stakeholders and make sure that everyone has an opportunity to speak and contribute to the best of their ability
  • We are open and transparent about our views, our approach and our beliefs
  • We believe in collaboration, working together to understand the prevailing internal and external environment and to develop imaginative solutions
  • We provide a safe environment and spaces where people feel empowered to speak and contribute
  • We are facilitative – we use our skills and experience to draw out ideas and solutions
  • We believe in creativity and imagination - trying things out, looking for innovative and action methods which will help people to think, speak and act
  • We listen and we act on what we hear
